Cici’s Pizza, Dewitt, NY

I really don’t like trashing a restaurant, but then I thought maybe I could save someone from eating a horrible meal and wasting $5. So here’s my take on Cici’s:

I went to Cici’s Pizza for dinner. It’s just plain terrible food and an awful experience. And no matter how little they charge for it, it’s still too much. I’ve never eaten worse pizza in my entire life, including things I’m actually embarrassed to admit eating, like frozen toaster pizza from the 70′s, frozen boxed pizza from the 80′s and State Fair Pizza from a trailer that hasn’t been clean since the day it rolled off the assembly line. Cici’s has the worst pizza I’ve ever eaten anywhere in the world, fresh or frozen, now or in the past.

The crust is bland and flavorless, as is the cheese. The sauce is way too sweet and tastes like ketchup. It’s actually worse then Domino’s before Domino’s “improved” their recipe. The pepperoni is sliced so thin that the only way to taste it is to remove it from the pizza and place it directly on your tongue.

When I visited, it was full of little children and their non-caring parents, who chose to not enforce any level of acceptable public behavior. The children had a all sorts of fun. Some occupied their time running around the restaurant screaming, while others happily played in the salad bar, handling all the greens to see what salad felt like.

I chose to not have any salad.

I am so sorry your visit was not a positive one. Unfortunately, no company in the service industry can guarantee that every customer has a wonderful visit all the time. They certainly can’t dictate how parents supervise their children. Cici’s has a generally positive reputation, and I am sure that the managers of Cici’s would be happy to make it up to you, but you need to give them the chance. They can’t help you if you just walk out without notifying anyone there is a problem.

I was posting what I experienced. According to the other local reviews, my experience was typical.

If Cici’s changes the way they cook and do business, I’d be happy to give them another try.
